Our Founders
LeAnn Rivers, CEO/Administrator
LeAnn Rivers, is a Southeast Texas native. She grew up in Sour Lake, Texas where she and her husband continue to reside. Her two children attended Legacy Christian Academy and Hardin Jefferson High School. LeAnn has now been promoted from mother to "LaLa" and loves spoiling her grandchildren. She attended Tyler Junior College and Lamar University, obtaining a business degree. She is currently on the Worship Team for Parkway Life Church in Lumberton and is passionate about helping others achieve their personal goals. LeAnn began working in the administrative end of healthcare in 1991. After seeing the need to empower healthcare workers in the healthcare field, she started her first home care agency in 1993. She started Professional Health Care Home Health in January of 2002 and later expanded the agency to include hospice services in October 2004. |
Amy Detwiler, LBSW, COO/Director
of Operations/Junior Partner Amy Detwiler was raised in Plainview, TX. She graduated from Plainview High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview. Amy later became a licensed social worker, and although she enjoyed working with a variety of populations in the health care field, she quickly learned that hospice was her passion. Amy, her husband and their children relocated to Southeast Texas in 2000. The Southeast Texas area immediately felt like home to them. Both of their children attended Hardin-Jefferson High School and Lamar University. Amy has been promoted from mother to G'Amy and loves spending time with her grandchildren. Although Amy started working in the health care field as a social worker, she was encouraged by one of her favorite mentors, Land Wall, to pursue a role in health care administration. Amy believes that providing fair, supportive administration empowers clinicians and health care teams to make the greatest impact on the lives of the people they serve. Amy truly finds pleasure in her professional calling and also enjoys cooking, family, and music. |
LeAnn and Amy met at church. Although neither of the two was "looking for a best friend," the two quickly realized that a higher power had another plan. These two women rapidly began to realize how much they shared in common: their love for the God they serve, their love for family, and their passion about administering quality care to patients in need of home health and hospice care.
Since their initial meeting, their lives took many different turns, but once again they found themselves united in vision and surrendered to the call that was placed on their friendship. Both women strive to lead Professional Health Care Home Health and Hospice as the premier agency for which to work and from which to receive health care services.
